We are able to have any tartan that is not copyright (for example Livingston Football Club) woven on a range of looms. For the traditional kilt selvedge an old shuttle loom is best as shown in this picture.

For this service we need the Tartan Name and International Tartan Index number. As a first step you may wish to search the International Tartan Index for this information.

You then need to decide the colour option you want. The two most widely understood colours are the Ancient (which are supposed to reflect the vegetable dyes available in the eighteenth century) and Modern (which uses the vibrant colours available today). More recently there has been some argument as to the realism of these two options and a Muted version has been produced that is slightly less "in your face" than the Modern. Finally the Antique colours is an attempt to show how the ancient dyes would have weathered. For more information on colours click here

Produced on a high speed loom this mill offers tremendous value for money for large orders. Delivery times can be 8-16 weeks.

Available in 100% Pure New Wool with a modern tuck-in kilting selvedge 58-59 inches (147-149cm) wide in:
10.5oz (360 gms per linear metre or 240 gms per sq metre)
13oz (420 gms per linear metre or 280 gms per sq metre)
