Most of their shoes have Goodyear Welted soles. As the sole is stitched to the welt of the shoe rather than glued, the shoe is both stronger and more easily repaired. These shoes become more comfortable the more they are worn as the leather gradually moulds to the shape of your foot.
Purists maintain that polished black shoes should be worn with the kilt, probably as a hangover from army regulations. We offer a choice of brogues or semi brogues for day wear. |
